s u n k i s s e d by the morning winter light. We discovered Daniel Wellington Watches on our recent shoot in Bronte, Sydney with Amelia Jane and Lisa Niederer. At first we felt like the flowy free kaftans were perhaps a bit of a contrast with a watch, but these Daniel Wellington Watches are clean minimalistic and teamed with an Ace of Something Charcol Grey ASPEN Hat.. it's a perfect combo for an Australian Winter.
Sunrises, Mojitos and Massages...
... with the love of your life! Everywhere we look there are wedding bells and arrivals of small bundles of joy. A huge rush of inspiration from our Mykonos Fiesta Print (as above) has inspired us to put together our top 4 honey moon locations that are all about Sunrises, Cocktails and Massages! Personally I can quite easily invision throwing on a light colourful kaftan and escaping to any of these exotic locations.
The heart of the South Pacific, Fiji is blessed with 333 tropical islands that are home to happiness.
It's famed for its rugged landscape of blue lagoons and palm-lined beaches, and eco-activities from mountain climbing and surfing to soft-coral diving and zip-lining. Its major islands, Viti Levu and Vanua Levu, contain the lion’s share of the population, meaning much of the country is uncrowded.
We would highly recommend Tokoriki Island Resort. In 2015 it was voted by trip advisor travellers the #1 Hotel in Fiji, #1 Luxury Hotel in Fiji and #1 Romantic Hotel in Fiji.
Also, we don't mean to sound a little biased but this amazing exotic tropical fijian island stocks some of our LISA KELLY Kaftan's just to give it that light colourful touch. Slip that on and grab a mojito with your man and you're set for a week of pure bliss!
2. Koh Samui, Thailand
Another one of our favourites! Koh Samui would probably be one of the most romantic islands in Thailand. Labeled as Thailand’s most popular honeymoon destination, Ko Samui is a large island in the Gulf of Siam. Snorkeling, diving, swimming, delicious thai food, fresh pineapple on the beach.. yes please!
Located off Thailand’s east coast is the third-largest Thai island, Koh Samui. Just a 45-minute flight from Bangkok, the island’s white sand, swaying coconut palms and calm waters help maintains its away-from-it-all charm. So where to stay? Four Seasons Resort in Koh Samui looks like one to watch out for!
Four Seasons nestles on Koh Samui’s northwestern tip on peaceful Laem Yai Bay – 30 minutes from the airport.
With beach front villas, a private infinity pool, astonoshing panoramas of Laem Yai Bay, Koh Phangan and the Gulf of Siam, perhaps a lesson in the art of Muay Thai kickboxing and a specialized spa treatment to sooth the muscles? Koh Samui is waiting for you!
The Maldives anyone? An Island off India, with crystal clear water, surf, friendly people, gold sandy beaches, scattered with coconut trees and marine life. Again Four Seasons Resort Maldives Kuda Huraa looks like a winner. Researching and finding the Billabong Girls Surf Capsule from 2011 has definitely sold Four Seasons Resorts Maldives to us here at LISA KELLY. Perhaps it's time to pay a little visit? A perfect Honey Moon escape.
4. Bora Bora, Tahiti
Somewhere in the South Pacific there is an island called Bora Bora- the most famous of French Polynesia's Leeward Islands and recently awarded the title of "the best island in the world" by U.S News. Immerse yourself in a tropical paradise. Bora Bora is under an hour flight from the island of Tahiti or Moorea.
From the dramatic scenery to the privacy and amenities of the overwater bungalows, everything is easy is the world of Bora Bora! Resorts have been welcoming couples for over 40 years and their special amenities have been fine tuned to perfection. From sunrise to sunset, each resort has designed their own blend of unique romantic experiences for their guests to choose from.
Bora Bora! You beautiful blue tropical getaway, we are coming for you, and we are packing nothing but a Kaftan and some coconut oil!
Well, we hope we inspired you with exotic island goodness! If you have a honeymoon coming up in 2015 enter #honeymoongetaway and receive 10% off on a LISA KELLY etc.. (could do or maybe not?)
A crisp 5am wakeup and a sneak in to the closed of rock pools with beautiful morning light and surfers paddling out from the rocks. Here's a little sneak peek from our Shoot with Lisa Niederer last week.
Amelia Jane gracing the Bronte Rocks at sunrise in our LISA KELLY Abella Kaftan Kupia in Pink. The Abella Kaftan also comes in Turquoise Water, Angel Fire Lime and Sunrise. We are lucky enough in Australia to be able to layer and wear these pieces all year round. As Europe is just launching in to Summer... Lisa will be heading over to Europe in a few weeks so we look forward to seeing our Kaftan's make an appearance in the European Summer!
You've found the 'creative vault' of our site! Here you will find my personal journey filling the pages with stories of my life, travels, inspiration, health and fashion. Even 'behind the scenes' of my kaftan collections or the creations of my bespoke events.
